About Pine & Paws

Hi, I'm Yvonne, founder of Pine & Paws Pet Care.

After years of volunteering at local shelters and caring for pets in my community, I saw how hard it was for people to find flexible, reliable support. Most were left relying on friends and family, juggling schedules with inconsistent sitters, or settling for big companies with rotating staff and rigid, one-size-fits-all services.

I started Pine & Paws to offer something better: ethical, thoughtful, dependable care tailored to each person’s needs and each pet’s personality.

Animals have been a steady source of comfort, joy, and purpose throughout my life, and I’m grateful to care for them in return. I believe all pets deserve to feel safe, supported, and loved, and that belief in both emotional and physical well-being shapes everything we do.

Today, Pine & Paws is a small but growing team of caregivers who share that same heart. Whether we’re stopping by to visit a cat, taking a high-energy dog on a field trip, or boarding a senior pup in a quiet living room, we do everything we can to help pets feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. We want the people who love them to feel confident and at ease while they're away.

What Makes Us Different

A Comfortable, Kennel-Free Stay
Your pet will stay in a real home, not a kennel. They’ll have cozy places to relax, room to move around, and the freedom to settle in at their own pace. If your pet is crate-trained and finds comfort in that routine, we’re happy to make their crate part of the setup.

No One-Size-Fits-All Care
Every pet is different, and their care should be too. Whether it’s boarding, walking, day care, drop-ins, or chaperone services, we tailor our approach to your pet’s personality and needs. Some thrive with calm and quiet. Others need structure, play, and adventure. We do what works best for them.

Everything They Need, Included
We include the kind of care many others charge extra for. Medications, supplements, special diets, and detailed routines are always part of our service. These aren’t upgrades. They’re simply part of caring for your pet the right way.

Support for Pets with Behavioral Needs
Many providers turn away fearful, reactive, or sensitive pets. We believe all animals deserve compassion and support. We welcome them with patience and respect. Whether your pet needs space, structure, or extra reassurance, we’ll work with you to create a plan that helps them feel safe while you’re away.

Trust and Peace of Mind

At Pine & Paws, we know pets are family. Trusting someone else to care for them is a big decision, and we don’t take it lightly. Our team is made up of dependable, compassionate people who treat your pets with the same care and respect they give their own.

We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured, so you can feel confident that both your pets and your home are in safe, capable hands. Each team member is carefully selected not just for their experience, but for their kindness, integrity, and genuine love for animals.

We are proud members of Pet Sitters International, the leading educational association for professional pet sitters. As members, we stay informed on best practices, safety standards, and ethical care while staying rooted in our community. We’ve also completed pet first aid training through the American Red Cross as part of our commitment to safety and preparedness.

Flexible Support for Everyday Life

We know how much you care about your pet. But life gets busy. Long workdays, last-minute plans, or appointments that run late can throw off your routine. Sometimes you just need a night out. Through it all, your pet still needs attention, exercise, and care. That’s where we come in.

Our services are designed to keep your pet happy, supported, and cared for, no matter what your day looks like. Whether you need help every day, once a week, or just from time to time, we’re here to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.
